Struggling New York Rangers too reliant on Gaborik

by Bob

The way things have been going for the New York Rangers, they don't win  when Marian Gaborik doesn't score.

So what happened Sunday in Colorado? He scored all three Rangers' goals, and they defeated the Avalanche, 3-1, to snap a five-game losing streak. By the way, it was his first hat trick since scoring five goals against the Rangers in 2007 as a member of the Minnesota Wild.

The Rangers, in fact, are so reliant of Gaborik that he has the highest percentage of goals for one player on any team in the league. (The list through January 31)
